San Francisco, Jan 6 (JEN): Sharing its views on alleged inflammatory tweets by world leaders, Twitter said that it won't block these individuals as that would certainly hamper necessary discussion around their words and actions.
In a new blog post, titled World Leaders on Twitter, which was published on Friday, the company said: "Blocking a world leader from Twitter or removing their controversial Tweets would hide important information people should be able to see and debate. It would also not silence that leader, but it would certainly hamper necessary discussion around their words and actions."
It further added: "We review Tweets by leaders within the political context that defines them, and enforce our rules accordingly. No one person's account drives Twitter’s growth, or influences these decisions. We work hard to remain unbiased with the public interest in mind."
Many have accused US President of using Twitter as a platform to spread hatred.
Some even questioned the micro blogging company if it was planning to do something about Trump's tweet, who, earlier this week, riled the Twitterverse after tweeting that he too possessed a nuclear button, which is bigger and more powerful than North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's.
The tweet was made after Kim warned America of being aware of the Asian regime's nuclear prowess.
However, Trump's tweet backfired massively, as many users accused him of not knowing where to draw the line.
