An Improvised Explosive Devise (IED)explosion in Afghanistan's Southern Zabul province of Afghanistan on Saturday left at least one child dead and three others injured, media reports said.
The explosion caused by an IED of past wars resulted in the death of one child and the injury of three others in the Sarkhakan area of the Shah Joi district of Zabul province on Friday evening, Qari Zabiullah Jawhar, the provincial police spokesman told Khaama Press.
A group of children from nomad families were playing next to a tractor in a field when the bomb went off, killing one and injuring three others, reports the news agency.
A similar blast claimed the lives of two children and injured four others in the northern Jawzjan province on Tuesday.
