At least 12 people were killed and 26 wounded in Turkey when a bus carrying Afghan, Pakistani and Bangladeshi migrants crashed early on Sunday, media reports said.
The incident occurred in the eastern city of Muradiye in Van province near the Turkish-Iran border, Reuters reported. The bus caught fire after it crashed into a ditch, the report added.
For migrants crossing into Europe, Turkey remains a key transit point. Most migrants from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran cross into Turkey on foot.
Local authorities have arrested the driver of the bus.
