Kabul: At least 11 people, including Taliban insurgents and security members, were killed as the two groups engaged in Kunduz, for the first time since ending the Eid ceasefire.
The incident took place in Dasht-e-Archi Bazar on Monday night, local Tolo News reported quoting government sources.
Among the 11 deceased were four security members, two each of the local police and ANA, while the remaining seven were affiliated with the Taliban.
In addition, four other security members and five Taliban insurgents sustained injuries.
The much cheered ceasefire between government forces and Taliban insurgents ended on Sunday night.
